Behavioural Consults
People often forget that vets have been trained to deal with behavioural problems.
It is very important to get on top of behavioural problems as soon as they arise as they may become entrenched or get much worse if simply ignored.
It is simply not true that you cannot teach an old dog new tricks. The longer an animal has performed a certain behaviour the longer it can take to change it but with the right intervention it can be done.

There are a lot of new treatments available including behavioural therapy, pheromones and medicines.
All our vets have experience with dealing with behavioural problems and we can also find you an appropriate behaviourist for referral cases.
Many behaviours can be made very much worse with inappropriate treatment so please speak to us as early as possible when you have a problem.
Common kitten / puppy problems include:

Aggression
Play-biting
Feel free to speak to vets or nurses about how to help with these problems.
