Leonard Brothers Veterinary Centre Ltd offers a 24 hour service with a vet available 24 hours of every day. There is a surcharge for being seen out of normal surgery hours; telephone advice is available by calling 01948 662424 anytime.

Pets may be kept at the practice overnight; the intensity of treatment and observation out of hours will depend on the severity of illness or care required by the individual patient. Please feel free to discuss your pet’s care out of surgery hours - be aware that some levels of care carry a higher fee.

Estimates are available should your pet require surgery or a diagnostic workup. Please ask for an estimate should you be concerned about costs or if your pet is not adequately insured . Updates on costs can be given prior to each procedure to ensure you are within your budget.

Payment is expected at the time of consultation or when picking up your pet up after surgery unless other arrangements are made, prior to the surgery, with the consulting veterinary surgeon.

Prescriptions are available at this practice. You may obtain Prescription Only Medicines, Category V (POM Vs), from your veterinary surgeon or ask for a written prescription and obtain these medicines from another veterinary surgeon or pharmacy.

Your veterinary surgeon may prescribe POM Vs only for animals under his or her care. A prescription may not be appropriate if your animal is an inpatient or immediate treatment is necessary.

You will be informed, on request, of the price of any medicine that may be prescribed for your animal.

The general policy of this practice is to re-assess an animal requiring repeat prescriptions every 6 months, but this may vary with individual circumstances.

The standard charge for a prescription examination is £24.
