Veterinary Team

Our vets work very much as a team to help ensure that we provide the most comprehensive care we can to our patients. Each of our vets have areas of interest or extra-qualifications, allowing us to internally refer and work collaboratively where required. We are very proud that we do not reward our vets based on their turnover, only on the quality of the care they provide and their contribution to the team. This encourages an open, co-operative and inclusive environment of mutual support. We want happy, helpful staff and this is why we have a very low turnover of vets.

Tom Leonard GPCert(SAP) PGCertSAS BVMS MRCVS
Advanced Practitioner in Surgery and Founding Director of Leonard Brothers

Tom grew up in this area and went to school in Nantwich and Crewe. He graduated from Glasgow in 1994 and his early career in Lancashire was televised for the BBC's "Vets in Practice" series. In 2004 he returned home to set up Leonard Brothers Veterinary Centre. Starting out with just a team of 3, it has grown into the modern, progressive practice we have today, whilst still retaining the family feel. Tom loves being a vet and has passed a couple of certificates in General Practice and Surgery enabling him to master the more complicated cases he sees at our Wistaston Branch.
